In 2010 Chevy Traverse, the fuel pump relay is located on the right side of the engine. This electronic component is essential for all vehicles with an internal combustion engine. One of the primary signs of a problem with the fuel pump relay is sudden engine stalling. When the relay malfunctions while the vehicle is in operation, it cuts off power to the fuel pump, causing the engine to stall. A faulty relay might allow the vehicle to restart after a short period, whereas a completely failed relay will prevent it from restarting. Another indicator of a faulty fuel pump relay is difficulty starting the engine, as the pump loses power in such cases.
