To replace the battery in the key fob for your 2013 Toyota Highlander, you'll need a CR2032 button cell battery which can be purchased at most stores, including larger retail stores, ranging in price from $4 to $9 each. You will also need a precision screwdriver to complete the replacement process. Start by removing the key from the fob and using it to gently separate the two sections of the fob, beginning where the key was inserted. Once separated into two pieces, carefully use the precision screwdriver to lift out the battery located on the green side of the fob.
