The key fob for a 2005 Honda Pilot uses a 3V CR1616 coin cell battery. You'll realize the battery is dead when pressing any button does not light up the LED. To change the battery, use a micro screwdriver with a #0 Phillips head. There's a single screw on the back of the key fob to unscrew. Initially, the screw might have some loctite, so you might need a bit of extra force. Look for a small rectangular groove on the side of the fob that you can slide your fingernail into to separate the two halves of the fob.
To swap out the battery in the key fob for a 2005 Honda Pilot, you'll need to buy a CR1616 battery.
