The BMW 535i uses Peak OET coolant, and various engine issues may arise. A spark plug could detach, causing engine problems, while loose gaskets should be promptly secured. Promptly address any oil leaks, as well as the critical issue of engine overheating, which could result in fires and vehicle explosions. Watch out for excessive oil consumption, requiring more frequent oil changes. Remember to change the coolant every 60,000 miles, replace the air filter every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, and swap out spark plugs every 100,000 miles unless they're copper ones – in which case, they should be replaced every 30,000 miles.
