To keep your Kia Rio engine running smoothly, it's best to use SAE 0W-20 oil with API SN PLUS/SP or ILSAC GF-6 certification. While TOTAL QUARTZ oil is recommended by Kia, any oil with the same specs can be used. Check the oil level in your engine manually at least once a week, ideally when refueling. When checking the oil, park on a flat surface, turn off the engine, wait 15 minutes, then remove and wipe the dipstick. Re-insert it completely, remove it again, and ensure the oil level falls between the Min and Max marks.
