In the factory specs, it's mentioned that the 2004 Toyota RAV4 comes with an EGR valve. This valve can be found attached to the rear left cylinder head and linked to the intake manifold. The EGR valve, part of exhaust gas recirculation, helps control nitrogen emissions in vehicles by reducing oxygen levels in the combustion chamber. You can clean the EGR valve instead of replacing it frequently, as they mainly get dirty. If you do need to replace it, expect to pay around $30-$60, depending on whether it's an OEM or aftermarket part.
In a 2004 Toyota RAV4, you'll find the EGR valve positioned in the engine compartment, specifically under the hood.
That information is incorrect. The 2004 Toyota RAV4 does not come equipped with an EGR valve, but it does feature a PCV valve.
