In the 2003 Ford F-250, instead of a relay, the fuel pump is powered by a module that can be found under the cross frame above the rear differential. If the circuit board of the module gets damaged, owners may experience sudden issues with the fuel pump not functioning properly. This particular part in the F-250 is susceptible to corrosion, leading to leaks inside the unit and affecting the electrical wiring. Signs of a failing fuel pump include difficult starts, sputtering at high speeds, decreased gas mileage, lower fuel pressure, and trouble accelerating normally. Replacing this module can be quite costly, ranging from $800 to $1,100 for parts and labor.

The fuel pump relay is located inside the cjb (central junction box), also known as the fuse panel under the driver's side steering wheel. You can choose to either replace the entire fuse box or insert a new relay by splicing it in.

The fuel pump relay is part of the fuse box located beneath the steering column. It took a couple of weeks to identify the issue, but I ended up swapping out the entire fuse box. After doing that, the problem was fixed. It's a 2003 F-250 5.4L Super Duty truck.

Numerous individuals claim that the relay behind the radio or below the truck is where the issue lies. However, this is inaccurate. Before 2005, there was no separate driver relay for the fuel pump. The sole fuel pump relay can be found INSIDE the fuse block, which is situated behind the access panel left of the steering wheel. It cannot be easily repaired unless you are skilled at soldering. The only options are replacing the entire fuse block or incorporating a separate relay. Not a great experience dealing with Ford vehicles.
