The tail light fuse for a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado can be found in the under-hood fuse panel, marked as VEH STOP Fuse #17 for the Vehicle Stop Lamps. It is a 10 amp blade-style fuse. If you check the fuse and it's not blown but your tail lights still don't work, the next step is to inspect the bulbs. If you notice that the bulbs are burning out often, it may be due to water leaking into the light sockets from worn-out seals, causing corrosion to the wires and connectors, resulting in multiple burned-out bulbs.
The fuse for the tail light of a 2006 Chevy Silverado can be found in the fuse box situated on the driver's side within the engine compartment.

It's pretty unbelievable to think that at 65 years old, I've been driving GMC and Chevy trucks for as long as I can remember, and I've had far fewer issues with them compared to Fords or Dodges.
As an American, I would say: If you own a Chevy, you need two - one to use and the other to cover up its issues. The vehicle is missing tail light sockets, but the wires seem fine. I might accidentally lose another shirt while working on this truck. Finally, I'm excited to find some enjoyment in fixing it up. If you see a smoke ring in the sky, it's probably from this truck. Since I got it, there have been numerous repairs, costing me more than the purchase price. The only good thing seems to be the steering wheel, although there's a knocking sound in the engine. I might end up with a fireworks display soon. I've had a more enjoyable time dealing with it this way, so goodbye Chevy - I won't be buying another one.
