The 2006 Ford Escape comes with two fuse boxes that are designed to provide easy access to the fuse and/or relay diagrams located on the underside of the storage cover. Another way to access these diagrams is by referring to the owner's manual. To find the "smart junction box," check inside the cabin on the right side of the center console or on the left side of the passenger's footwell, where it is hidden behind a small panel recessed into the footwell. The second fuse box can be located under the hood on the right side of the bay or the driver's side of the engine, next to the battery and against the firewall. This box is black and can be opened by releasing two clips.
