In the 2008 Ford F-250, the smart junction box serves as the main power distribution fuse box and is situated in the upper right-hand corner of the engine compartment. Out of the 77 fuses and relays available, only 13 are not used to power various components in the vehicle. The fuses in this box are either cartridge fuses or MINI fuses. Components such as power seats, ABS module pump, power fold mirrors, powertrain control module, wiper motor, and mirror marker lamps are powered by these fuses. The relays control functions like the starter solenoid, back-up lights, and A/C clutch. Some slots contain diodes that provide power for the fuel pump, A/C clutch, and starter relay (specifically in models with gasoline engines).
