The starter of a 2014 Chevy Impala is positioned at the front of the engine below the exhaust manifold. It is secured by two 15-millimeter hex head bolts. While the top bolt is accessible easily, the bottom one requires removal of the exhaust manifold to reach it and disconnect the power cable. There are four 15 millimeter bolts fastening the exhaust manifold to the block and another four to the exhaust pipe. Locate and remove the bolt at the back of the starter using your fingers, then remove the nut from the power cable, unplug the electrical connector, and extract the starter.
In a 2014 Chevy Impala, you can find the starter under the hood towards the rear of the engine compartment.
