The dipstick for checking the transmission fluid in a 2006 Toyota Tundra truck is located on the passenger side at the rear of the engine. If you need to change the fluid, ensure the vehicle is level, open the hood, and locate the transmission fluid reservoir near the transmission. Pull out the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it, then check the fluid level indicated. Add the required amount of fluid using a funnel until it reaches the full mark on the dipstick. Be careful not to overfill. Finally, close the reservoir and you're ready to drive.
The 2005 - 2006 Toyota Tundra with a 4.7L V8 engine does not include a dipstick for inspecting the transmission fluid.

There might be a dipstick located on the right side of the 4-cylinder model, but the V8 model does not have one. It is recommended to visit a certified repair shop or dealership for assistance.
I own a 2006 Tundra, and it doesn't have a transmission dipstick for checking the fluid level.
In 2006 Toyota Tundra 4.7L trucks, the transmission doesn't have a dipstick as it's sealed. To add fluid, locate the fill "Plug" at the top of the transmission. Pump fluid in until it overflows, then replug it. For draining, use the plug at the bottom of the transmission.
