The transmission filter in a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe is located inside the transmission pan. It is a screen-type filter designed to clean the fluid as it flows through the transmission and back out into the pan. Typically, this filter is not meant to be replaced separately and is usually only changed during a complete transmission rebuild. To inspect and access the filter, you will need to drain the transmission fluid completely and then remove the pan from the bottom. This process can be quite labor-intensive just to examine a small screen. The most effective way to assess the condition of your transmission fluid is by using the check valve on it and ensuring there are no signs of gear damage.
The transmission filter for the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe can be found on the primary housing of the transmission.
