In a 2015 Chevy Impala, you can locate the ambient air temperature sensor on the right side of the engine compartment near the front, close to the horn assembly. It's easily recognizable as a small black plastic piece with wires at the bottom. This sensor is essential for measuring the outdoor temperature wherever you may be. It serves two key purposes. First, it helps you stay informed about the weather while you're behind the wheel. Second, it allows the engine to adjust the air intake for optimal compression conditions in the cylinder, as colder air is denser than warmer air.
Check near the front of the engine compartment by the grill to locate the ambient temperature sensor.
