The 2006 Chevy Equinox in both LT and LS trims does not include an AUX port, making it challenging to customize for an AUX input. Despite limited aftermarket solutions, some owners opt for a wireless MP3 adapter to play music from their smartphone through the radio. The Equinox comes with 6 speakers, AM/FM radio, On-Star communication, an optional premium sound system, optional remote audio controls and standard steering wheel controls, an optional 6-disc or single-disc CD player, and compatibility with XM Satellite radio. Additionally, it seats up to 5 people, offers 185 HP, and achieves 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.
The aux input for the 2006 Chevy Equinox can be found on the center console stack inside the car.
We replaced the engine in a 2006 Equinox with one from a 2007 model, but there doesn't seem to be any difference in the engine.
