The 12-volt battery for a 2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid is situated at the rear of the vehicle, specifically on the left side of the cargo area and behind a side panel. Should you ever need to jump-start your Highlander hybrid, there are designated jump points in the engine bay where you can connect the leads to restart it like any other vehicle. However, when it is time to replace the battery with a new one, you must access the battery behind the panel in the back of the vehicle. To properly replace it, you will require a group 24F battery.
