You can locate the crankshaft position sensor on a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox 2.4L towards the rear right side of the engine by the brake master cylinder when viewing from under the vehicle. A compatible replacement sensor is the AC-Delco #213-4573, available at most local auto parts stores. To replace it, you'll need to loosen a few bolts, disconnect the engine wiring harness pigtail, remove the old sensor, install the new one, reconnect the wires, and tighten the bolts. It's important to secure the sensor properly to prevent any issues while driving, such as having it dangle from just the wires while cruising at highway speeds.
In a 2010 Chevy Equinox, the crankshaft position sensor can be found at the front of the engine, positioned behind the harmonic balancer.
