The crankshaft position sensor for the 2007 Honda Accord is situated on the rear right side of the engine block. Its primary function is to ensure proper operation of the crankshaft. A malfunctioning sensor can disrupt the fuel injection process, causing the vehicle to run too rich or too lean. This can result in issues such as stalling, rough driving, loss of power, and surges. These problems can put undue stress on the engine, eventually causing it to fail. Therefore, it is advisable to promptly replace a faulty sensor, as it is a cost-effective repair.
