Living in a state where emissions tests are compulsory, dealing with the EVAP system can be a regular annoyance. For a 2008 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, you may need to locate either the vent valve or the EVAP vent solenoid to pass inspections. Finding these components beneath the vehicle, starting at the gas tank, might be relatively easy. However, diagnosing and replacing them can be a more challenging task. Look for the charcoal canister nearby the gas tank and trace the hose out to find the vent valve where you'll see the solenoid connector plugged in.
Check inside the evaporative canister to find the evaporative vent solenoid on the 2008 Chevy Trailblazer.
