In the 2004 Chevy Silverado, the radio gets its power from fuses located under the hood. Find the big black box on the right side of the engine bay (driver's side) against the firewall. Removing the cover will show you a fuse diagram and a tool to help you test and replace blown fuses. To troubleshoot no sound from the stereo, check the green 30 amp amplifier fuse in the upper right corner of the box. If the radio is not turning on or lighting up, look at the blue 15 amp fuse responsible for this function. These two fuses work together to power part of the radio and audio system. Also, make sure to check if the radio is not working due to disconnected wiring under the dash.
In the 2004 Silverado, you can locate the radio fuse by opening the fuse box under the hood, which is situated close to the battery.
