The idle air control valve can be found at the back of the throttle body on the driver’s side in a 2004 Ford F-150. This part is responsible for managing the engine's idle speed by adjusting it based on the current conditions. Typically, idle control valves are motorized and are placed on the vehicle's intake manifold. When the engine is cold, the IAC valve assists in starting it. If it stops working correctly, you'll need to have it replaced, which can cost between $115 and $500 on average.
The iac valve on the Ford F150 is located on the right side of the throttle body under the hood.
Certainly! Indeed, the IAC idle air control valve is positioned directly on the throttle body, as they are essentially connected as one unit.
