In the 2013 Chevy Malibu 2.5 liter, you can locate the oil pressure control solenoid valve by taking out the catalytic converter and then reaching the heat shield positioned over the oil filter housing unit. Removing the heat shield is necessary to reach the valve. Make sure to check the coil's resistance attached to the valve for any potential problems like corrosion or looseness. A faulty solenoid will trigger trouble code P06dc on your dashboard. Replacing the part will set you back around $14 to $98 per solenoid. If you opt for a professional mechanic to do the replacement, expect to pay between $49 and $133 for their services.
The location of the oil pressure control solenoid valve is towards the back of the engine.
