The backup light switch for a Ford Transit Mk7 can be found on the turret of the gearbox, just below where the gear cables are attached. It is secured in place by two small clips. You can purchase a compatible replacement part, such as the Duralast Back-Up Light Switch DR4029 from AutoZone, for around $15. Simply disconnect the electrical pigtail from the old switch, unscrew it, and then install the new switch following the reverse steps. Keep in mind that a common reason for the reverse light not working could be a burnt-out bulb, so it's wise to check that before changing the switch.
