The starter on the 2010 Chevrolet Traverse is located in the same spot as all models from 2009 to 2015. It is hidden behind the motor mount under the oil filter. If you want to repair or replace it, you'll need to start by removing the specific motor mount to gain access. Replacing the starter is not too complicated, but you will have to remove a few components along the way. First, use an extension to take out the 18mm nut below the oil filter. Then, go under the vehicle to take out the entire motor mount. Before you begin, make sure the vehicle is lifted, the negative battery terminal is disconnected, and you have taken steps to support the engine properly.
