The starter relay for the 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe can be found inside the fuse panel in your vehicle. To locate it, look to the left of your steering wheel, just above the brake pedal, where you'll find a small latch on the console of the dashboard. Pull on this latch to reveal the fuse box. The top cover of the fuse box will have a diagram that shows you the specific location of the starter relay, which is labeled as START and is a 7.5 amp fuse located at position A7.5. If you're certain that the battery is in good condition but your Santa Fe is not cranking, check the starter relay before suspecting other components under the hood. If the relay is faulty, replacement is straightforward and inexpensive – usually costing less than $5. Simply purchase a replacement relay, remove the old one, and install the new one in its place.
