In the 2006 VW Beetle, you can find the AC relay located in the fuse box. To access the fuse box, first, look to the left of the steering wheel and search for a small seam or crack along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, you will see several fuses. Check the back of the panel for a diagram that explains the function of each fuse. If the diagram is not there, you can find it in the vehicle's owner's manual. Determine which fuse you need and remove it. Look for a thin strip of metal connecting the two raised sections of the fuse - if this strip is broken, the fuse is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, you can reinsert the fuse. Replacement fuses typically cost around $10, making them an affordable solution.
The cooling fan relay in the 2006 Volkswagen Beetle can be found in the underhood fuse and relay center or attached to the electric fan assembly situated behind the radiator.
