The 2005 Lincoln Aviator, as well as earlier models like the 2004 and 2003, do not come with a cabin air filter. Instead, they are equipped with a plastic mesh system that serves the purpose of filtering out materials like leaves and debris from entering the HVAC system. While a typical cabin air filter would require replacement every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, the plastic mesh in these models does not need replacement. Although it is possible to add an aftermarket cabin air filter, it is not recommended due to the existing effective mesh system. In vehicles with cabin air filters, they are usually located behind the glovebox or under the hood near the windshield.
In the 2005 Lincoln Aviator, you can find the cabin air filter either below the dashboard behind the glove box or under the hood towards the rear of the vehicle.
He only has a mesh as a filter.
