The coolant temperature sensor on the 2011 Chevrolet Aveo can be tricky to locate and replace, so it's recommended to set aside some time for this task. To access the sensor, you will need to look behind the alternator and remove the intake flange support. Even after finding the sensor, removing it is challenging due to limited working space. The best approach is to work from underneath the vehicle after lifting it with a jack and securing it on jack stands. You will need a small 2-inch screwdriver to identify the pry spot and carefully disconnect the male/female connector from the engine block. Some patience and gentle manipulation may be required to successfully remove the sensor.
