Every so often, you may have to access your car's electronic system control module for upgrades, repairs, or a replacement. To locate the module in a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta, you'll need to do a little searching, but it's not too difficult. Start by looking to the left of the clutch pedal pivot where you'll find the interior fuse box. Behind this fuse panel is the electronic system control module, which is part of the body control module. While you can't see it, you should be able to reach it.
The 2006 VW Jetta's ecu can be found in two spots. The first one is situated behind the passenger side dashboard, underneath the airbags. The body ecu is positioned beneath the driver side airbag, next to the fuse box.
