To replace the fuel filter, you'll have to replace the entire fuel pump assembly. The fuel pump assembly in a car is in charge of delivering the correct amount of fuel to the engine at the right pressure and timing. It includes essential components like the screen filter, fuel pump, and fuel pressure regulator.
The fuel filter for the 2005 Toyota Echo is located either inside the fuel tank along with the fuel pump or in the fuel line between the tank and the fuel rail.
