The fuel pump relay for a 2002 Acura TL 3.2L can be found in the interior fuse box on the driver's side, at the bottom, rated at 15 amps. The first sign of a failing relay is usually the Check Engine Light turning on. It may also trigger OBD code P0231, indicating "Fuel Pump Secondary Circuit Low Voltage". Another indication could be increased mileage. Difficulties starting the vehicle due to insufficient fuel reaching the engine may occur. Poor engine performance during acceleration, stalling, idling, or failure to start are other symptoms. To check the relay, listen for sound near the rear exhaust or fuel tank; a silent pump indicates an issue.
