To locate the fuel pump relay, check the fuse box situated to the left of the steering wheel by examining the dash for a small gap or mark. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open the box. Inside, there are several fuses. The back of the opened panel displays a diagram indicating the function of each fuse. If the diagram is not present, refer to the vehicle's manual. Identify the necessary fuse and remove it. Check for a thin metal strip connecting the raised sections of the fuse - if it's broken, replace the fuse. A new fuse typically costs around $10.
