The 2011 GMC Acadia's fuel pump relay can be found in the center of the glove box. If the fuel pump relay is faulty, it can prevent the engine from running properly as it won't supply fuel. Indications of a malfunctioning fuel pump relay include a loss of power, difficulty starting the engine, absence of the usual pumping noise, and even a risk of the vehicle catching fire. Should there be an issue with the fuel pump relay while the vehicle is in operation, it will cut off power to the pump, leading to the engine stalling. In case of a faulty relay, the vehicle may be able to be restarted shortly after, but if the relay completely fails, the vehicle will not restart.
