In the 2004 Honda Odyssey, there are two oxygen sensors located in the exhaust system. The first sensor, known as bank 1 sensor 1, is situated just after the exhaust headers at the bottom of the engine block. The second sensor, referred to as bank 1 sensor 2, is found right after the catalytic converter. Bank 1 generally corresponds to the left side of the engine, while Bank 2 is associated with the right side. If these sensors need repair, the cost at a mechanic can range from $200 to $250, covering both parts and labor. A malfunctioning oxygen sensor may trigger the check engine light and result in decreased fuel efficiency.
In the 2004 Honda Odyssey, the oxygen sensor, also known as the O2 sensor, can be found on both sides of the catalytic converter, specifically on bank one and bank two.
