You might have assumed that the OBD2 port for the 2007 Ford Ranger would be located on the left side of the dash near the brake or clutch pedals, like many other vehicles. However, Ford has placed the port in a different spot for this model. Instead, search on the right side of the driver's foot area, by the center console. Look up under the dash, either above or a little to the right of the gas pedal. You'll find the OBD2 port hanging vertically there, allowing you to connect your reader and diagnose any issues using fault codes.
In a 2007 Ford Ranger, you can find the OBD port below the steering wheel, located behind a dashboard panel.
