You can locate the oil pressure sensor on a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 at the rear of the engine compartment, positioned near the vertical filter next to the hoses. A replacement part that is compatible is the MasterPro Ignition Oil Pressure Switch from O'Reilly's, priced at around $39. Warning signs that this switch may be failing include the oil pressure light being on or flashing constantly, the Low Oil Light flickering on and off, or the oil pressure gauge displaying zero. If you encounter these issues, it could indicate a malfunction with the sensor rather than an actual lack of oil, which could lead to engine seizure.
It can be found positioned higher than your oil filter.
