The fuel pump reset switch for the 2006 Chevrolet Impala is situated on the passenger side, beneath the glove box, behind the upper part of the carpet. It is a compact box with an electrical connector attached to it and a small plastic button located on top. If your fuel supply is interrupted for reasons unrelated to an impact, such as hitting a pothole or sudden braking, this switch may activate. To restore operation of your fuel pump, just press down on the reset button on the top.
In a Chevy Impala from 2006, you can find the reset switch for the fuel pump in the fuse panel situated under the car's hood.
