To access the trunk of your 2019 Chevrolet Cruze, you will need to lift the carpeting and flooring panel to reach your spare tire and tire-changing tools. The car is equipped with a temporary "donut" spare that is only meant for short distances at low speeds - do not drive over 50 miles or 45 miles per hour with it. Some Cruze drivers prefer keeping a full-size spare tire for added reliability. Depending on your vehicle setup, you will have P195/65R15, P205/55R16, or P225/45R17 tires; these can typically be purchased mounted on the correct-sized wheel for around $250 to $400. While it may seem costly, the peace of mind is well worth it in my opinion.
There is not a single one.
In the rear trunk of the 2019 Chevy Cruze LT Sedan, there is a spare tire that comes with a jack for emergency situations. The spare tire is not meant for speeds over 50mph, but it was recently driven for 85 miles at speeds ranging from 45-55mph. The driver was lucky to make it to a gas station just before heading onto the freeway, as the front tire was losing air pressure. It turned out that the front right tire had a bulge with visible wires sticking out, so the spare tire proved to be a lifesaver in this emergency situation. Grateful for having the spare donut tire!
The 2019 Chevy Cruze is designed without a spare tire but includes a tire inflator kit instead. This feature not only reduces weight from the vehicle by excluding the spare tire and jack but also helps improve fuel efficiency.
