The 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander comes with a compact spare tire located in the rear cargo area. Simply lift up the carpeted floor to access the storage area below. The spare tire, commonly referred to as a donut, is typically situated at the center of the storage floor in most versions of the vehicle. This temporary spare is designed to occupy less space than a full-size tire and should only be utilized for driving a short distance to get to a repair shop. When changing the tire, be sure to park on a flat surface in a secure spot and turn on the hazard lights. Use the jack closest to the flat tire to raise the vehicle, then remove the wheel bolts to take off the old tire and install the new one evenly by utilizing the alignment pin.
