Accessing it from the top is the best approach. Secured by two 13mm bolts, removing them is one of the more difficult parts of the process. However, if you feel confident, I suggest doing the repair yourself. A remanufactured starter is available starting at $115, with new components costing around $200. Opting for a mechanic can increase the repair cost significantly to between $330 and $550, making it worthwhile for DIYers who can save a substantial amount of money with only a minimal level of difficulty.
