The one near your feet is for the hood, and the button to open the trunk is located on the left side of the glove compartment when you open it.

The document is fully stored in the glove compartment on the driver's side. The latch to open the hood is located in the left side foot area of the driver.

The trunk release in my 2006 Buick Lucerne is not under the steering wheel like some cars. Instead, you'll find it inside the glove box.
