If the battery in your Lexus CT200h dies, you can access a hidden key located in the key fob by pressing a button to release it. Some models may have a keyhole on the trunk where you can use the key to unlock it. If there is no keyhole on the trunk, use the key to enter the vehicle and open the trunk as usual.

Some CT 200h models do not come equipped with a footwell opening button for the back door. If yours lacks this feature, you can still open the door by lifting the 'center deck board' and locating a small silver lever underneath the latch mechanism in the car body. Push down on this lever to unlock the door.

There isn't a keyhole, at least not on my 2015 Lexus CT200h. I had to disconnect the battery in the trunk because the alarm wouldn't stop sounding. Then the hatch closed, trapping me outside without access to the battery. Luckily, my wife, who happens to be quite agile, managed to enter through the back doors and climb over the seats to reconnect the battery. This reset the alarm and everything was back to normal.

Should I remove the battery before I use the silver lever to unlock the trunk?
