Replacing the cabin air filter in a 2003 Ford Expedition is a straightforward task. The first step involves removing the glove compartment from the vehicle. Start by opening the glove box and taking off the bump stops on its sides to enable it to fully open downwards. With the glove box open, remove the plastic piece located behind it to reach the filter. Slide out the old filter from the housing and swap it with a new one. Finally, reassemble the panel and put the glove box back in place.
Is there a possibility for it to be situated elsewhere?
I just looked to see if the filter was located behind the glove box, and it's a very difficult repair! There are many components to disconnect, and there isn't enough space to separate the box to access the filter. Alex S. is providing incorrect advice.
