The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek requires full synthetic 0W-20 motor oil. It is equipped with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine across all trim levels and holds 4.6 US quarts of oil with the filter. The oil needs to be changed every 7,500 miles, but the vehicle is equipped with an oil life monitoring system that will notify you when it's time for a change. The oil drain plug is 14mm and requires 18 lbs-ft of torque to remove with a torque wrench. A socket wrench is sufficient if you don't have a torque wrench, as long as you have a 14mm socket.
