In 2016, the Nissan Altima has three tire options based on the model you choose. The smaller 2.5 and 2.5 S come with P215/60R16 tires on 16-inch wheels. The upgraded 2.5 SL and 2.5 SV feature P215/55R17 tires on 17-inch wheels, while the larger 2.5 SR, 3.5 SL, and 3.5 SR have P235/45R18 tires on 18-inch wheels. These wheels range in width from 7 to 7.5 inches. The recommended tire inflation is between 32 to 35 pounds per square inch, depending on the load, for standard load models. If you have an XL model, you can slightly increase the inflation, but those are not common for the Altima. It's advised to stick to the lower end of the inflation range for regular use and go closer to the upper limit if you are close to carrying the maximum payload of 952 to 1029 pounds, depending on the configuration.
