The 2013 Chevy Equinox camshaft position sensor has generated numerous complaints from owners reporting premature failures. Although not subject to any recalls, a malfunctioning camshaft sensor does not cause immediate failure of your car. You can continue driving without it, but the performance of your vehicle will gradually decline over time. As the camshaft position sensor deteriorates, its capability to promptly transmit data diminishes. Even a slight discrepancy in fuel delivery and ignition timing - off by just milliseconds - can result in symptoms such as sputtering, poor acceleration, loss of power, stalling, or even engine shutdown.

If there are numerous complaints, why hasn't there been a recall issued? I'm having to replace mine at around 95,000 miles.
