The 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan requires 5 quarts of oil for the 3.3L V6 engine and 5.5 quarts for the 4.0L V6 engine. Both engines use SAE 5W-20 oil, and Dodge recommends using synthetic oil for oil changes. There are two main oil types available – synthetic and conventional. Synthetic oil offers improved protection and longer lifespan compared to conventional petroleum-based oil. With synthetic oil, you can typically go 7,500 miles between oil changes as opposed to 3,500 to 5,000 miles with conventional oil. It's advisable to check your oil monthly to ensure it is at the correct level and free from any damage or debris.
