The 2006 Honda Accord does not have any recalls for the ignition switch. While earlier models had issues with the ignition switch, it appears that Honda resolved the problem by 2006 and has not initiated any recalls. Manufacturers issue recalls when a certain number of parts have failed. If your vehicle is part of a recall, the dealership will replace the faulty parts free of charge, as both the labor and parts are covered by the manufacturer. Recalls are common occurrences for most vehicles, so it is normal to have to deal with one during your ownership of a car.
Even though there were 17 recalls for this vehicle, none of them involved the ignition switch. The majority of the recalls were specifically related to the airbag system and the headlights.
