I don't have a response yet, but the issue with my car is that new struts were recently put in, as I thought that was the problem. However, the trunk is still locking and unlocking properly, but it doesn't open automatically as it should. I have to manually lift it with my fingers, and the trunk is quite heavy. I don't know the solution, but I'm facing an issue where the trunk unlocks but doesn't pop up for you to lift it with your hands underneath.
