To start, buy a replacement mirror. Autozone sells a compatible Keystone Collision Mirror Assembly FO1321286 for Fords at $106. Make sure you have the new part ready before starting. Take off the cover from the inside by pulling the top up and out first, followed by the bottom. Inside, you'll find 5 clips holding the trim in place. Disconnect the power connector and remove three 11 mm nuts securing the mirror. These are the only things holding the mirror in place, so be prepared for it to come off. Once the mirror and case are removed, keep the C-HRome shroud, held in place by four clips. Snap the shroud onto the new mirror, and then reverse the steps to install it.
